Disaster preparedness is an idea whose time has come. But first, the hard facts.

The recent weather events of the Philippines and around the world - recently in Aceh Indonesia and Mexico are evidence that climate change is here, and that all of the world is most vulnerable yet least prepared. Extreme, intense, and more frequent weather events are causing damage to the earth's resources, economy, food and water supplies, and to its population's well being.
